The Joint Task Force, Operation 'ENDURING PEACE', has announced notable successes in Jos North and Wase Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
According to Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, Media Information Officer for the Joint Task Force, troops apprehended two individuals impersonating security personnel in Dutse Uku, Jos North, on Thursday, 2nd March, 2026, at 11:45 PM.
The suspects were caught engaging in burning down of properties and violence, and they are currently in custody. Two individuals injured in the incident are receiving medical attention. This development is seen as a clear indication there are malicious actors attempting to tarnish the military's image.
In a separate incident, troops in Wase disrupted a terrorist group on motorcycles, neutralizing three and dispersing the rest. This follows the deployment of extra troops by the Chief of Army Staff.
The military also emphasized on its commitment to addressing insecurity in Plateau State. "The safety of Plateau State remains a top priority". "We will keep working to restore peace and order." Captain Oteh stated.
