NIDCOM Chairperson's Email Account Compromised: Security Alert Issued

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has issued a security alert warning the public that her email account (aodabiri@yahoo.com) has been hacked.

In a statement posted on her X page, Dabiri-Erewa urged recipients to ignore any emails purportedly sent from her compromised account or any other address until further notice.

"I will unfortunately not be able to respond to the thousands of emails that must have accumulated during this period," she said, requesting understanding in the matter.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has not issued any further statement on the matter, and it is unclear how the hacking occurred or what sensitive information may have been accessed.
