President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration's unwavering commitment to infrastructural development, identifying it as the backbone of Nigeria's economic growth.
During a meeting at the State House yesterday with stakeholders from Enugu State, led by the State Governor, Peter Mbah, President Tinubu specifically announced plans to construct a rail line connecting Port Harcourt to Enugu.
Addressing the delegation, President Tinubu highlighted the progress of his ongoing reforms, emphasizing that they are already yielding tangible outcomes.
"On the matter you raised, the rail from Port Harcourt to Enugu, the power sector reforms, the infrastructure that is a backbone of economic development of our country I have noted. We will do more," the President stated.
The President praised Governor Mbah and his team for their dedication to the progress of Enugu State, describing them as transformative leaders.
"The work you are doing is extremely, extremely important for our democracy to grow, and for people to flourish, and for the state to develop. The future of this country rests on people like you, with commitment, great vision, and seriousness," President Tinubu remarked.
He further noted that the results achieved thus far in security, infrastructure, education, and healthcare are not abstract, but evidence that his administration's reforms are working. He assured the stakeholders that the government would continue to collaborate with them to build a nation that all citizens can take pride in.
