M oshood Abiola Polytechnic came to a halt on Monday as students stayed off campus to protest a hike in tuition. The decision was announced Sunday night by the Students’ Union Government after weeks of failed talks with school authorities. The directive was signed by SUG President Afolabi Temitope, Acting Speaker Olorode Kehinde, General Secretary Ekundayo Gbenga and PRO Oloyede Ganiyu.  According to the union, the new charges appeared on the student portal and triggered immediate backlash. T eam Nigeria wrapped up its campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games on Sunday with a seventh place finish and the pride of being Africa’s best performing nation in Glasgow.
