T he Lagos State Police Command has identified the police officer seen in a viral video misbehaving in a public bus. The officer is Inspector Osumah Frank. The video started trending on Wednesday after the officer was filmed making rude and careless comments while in public. Many Nigerians who watched it said his behaviour was not fit for a police officer. In a statement on Thursday, the police said they have taken note of the video and have already started disciplinary action against him. According to the police, what the officer said in the video was his personal opinion and not the position of the Lagos Police Command or the Nigeria Police Force. The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Tijani Fatai, said officers must behave well at all times, whether on duty or not. He said wearing the police uniform comes with responsibility, and any action that brings shame to the force will not be allowed.
